GEDA News
Love is in the Air!
I can always tell when the retail world is “done” with Christmas, because the hearts and teddy bears and red balloons appear – almost overnight! That means that Valentine’s Day is approaching, and love is in the air!
In the economic development world, we are constantly touching base with project managers, site selection consultants, and utility partners to make sure they remember our communities when a prospect comes along. Additionally, we stay in touch with our legislators and our funding sources to keep our resources in place in order to do our jobs to the best of our ability. Finally, we keep our boards educated and informed so that we have the local support necessary to make the best decisions for our communities. With all of the “love” we show to our partners and stakeholders, it is sometimes difficult to work in a little “love” for ourselves. So I thought I would share some witty conversation heart sayings (credit to 2012 DCI Storify by Haley Hennes) that I hope will bring a smile to your face and show you some love from us at GEDA!
