Annual Conference 2016 Registration
With summer winding down and everyone getting ready for the start of school, you would think it is time for GEDA to get back into the swing of things; however, things never really slowed down.  One of my goals for the year was to find a better way to engage our younger members.  I turned to Meghan Duke, economic development director for the City of West Point, and asked her to chair our Young Professionals (YP) Committee.  Meghan had been an important part of the YP group though the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC), and I knew I could count on her to help energize this important part of our membership.  She has done just that.  Prior to our luncheon on August 15th, the committee will host a YP Coffee with GDEcD Commissioner Chris Carr.  The session will focus on effective leadership, strategies for success and preparing the next generation of economic development leaders to make a tangible impact on Georgia communities.
