New Honorary Life Members
GEDA honored three members with Life Membership at the Annual Conference in Savannah. Willie Paulk was honored at her retirement reception in Dublin last summer, but she had not been feted in front of the hometown GEDA crowd. Chairman Tim Evans recognized Willie during the business meeting. He had some help getting Willie there. Jane Fryer, Executive Director of the Meriwether County Development Authority, is a great friend of Willie, as is Peggy Chapman, and Nancy Kinsey, who passed away last December. Peggy is retired and lives in Greenville, SC, after having worked for many years in Statesboro, then worked briefly for Athens-Clarke County. Suffice it to say that Tim surprised all of them with the honor of Life Membership in GEDA. Read 2015 Board Chair Tim Evan’s full article here.
